Community Projects

We adopt a holistic approach in selecting IADI projects by determining specific ICT gaps in local clusters within the communities and tailoring our projects and service delivery models to suit Identified needs in the clusters. With this approach, IADI shall ensure that its projects are relevant and appropriate for its beneficiaries.

CCCs to knowledge hub (C2KH) (2014)

IADI reviewed the USPF-funded Community Communications Centres (CCCs) located in selected twenty seven (27) communities in Northern Nigeria, and is working to convert them into knowledge hubs for community adoption and integration of ICT in their daily activities for wholesome development. To this end our social innovative project “Zamantakewa”, was born with the aim of sustainable, innovative incubation and engagement of communities to drive human development such as employment, education, gender mainstreaming, agriculture and health using the CCCs as focal points. The CCCs will conform to these ideal qualities of a Knowledge Hub:

  • Neutral place – away from home and work, where people feel comfortable and can come and go at will

  • Little interference from host communities.

  • Social inclusion in terms of membership/participation

  • Stimulating connection with others

  • Accessibility in terms of hours and locations • Frequency of regulars.
